Simple Alcohol Ink Card

This card came together rather simply as I had made many a background over the last little while. (Eek I hate to admit I went through three packs of Youpo paper in a short amount of time .. Obsessed I think I might be..  lol)

For this card I used Flamingo, Red pepper, Sunshine Yellow,  gold metallic mixative youp paper and a straw.

As you can see here I can not get the same look twice which I kind of like because you can do the same card yet it will be slightly different.

(For that actual inking i worked on an old matt from the dollar store lol couldn't bare to get the new Glass matt all mucky just yet lol.. Anyone else have this issue or I am I just weird? lol )

Once I was happy with the color  of the background I decided I wanted to pull out some stencils that have not been used. I chose the Rose stencil in the mini Tim Holtz collection.

I did not have any archival ink and was not sure how the distress ink would work for this so I decided to try and stencil the background using Versa Fine black onyx ink and you know what I was very happy with how it turned out. It dried well and did not smudge at all.

For the sentiment I fist die cut some black cardstock using the MFT stitched frames die, I used the frame for another card and thought the center portion worked good for this card as it had stitching around it and fit nicely on to the card. The sentiment which you can see is from Visible image. Loving the different quotes and images they have to offer.

I stamped the sentiment using versa mark sticky ink,  I poured ranger sticky embossing powder over the top and then heat set it making sure to only heat it until it was just clear.

From there i took my gold foil from ranger and placed it over the heat embossed sentiment and burnished it . It didn't get a perfect coverage but its part of the look of the stamp and I feel it adds character. Lol

The card base is self is 5½ x 4¼  I layered the alcohol background on some Mft gold card stock from my stash  and popped up the sentiment in the middle with some foam tape. Very simple and clean.

All products I used are linked below.

I really love how this turned out, I hope you do to. I would love to hear what you think so please do leave me a comment.

Thank you for taking time to check out my little space. Have a wonderful week
