Cards, Pocket Letter Swap and so much more!
Good Morning/ Afternoon Fabulous Crafty friends.
Hope you have had an awesome week filled with lots of inspiration and craft time. I know this week for me has been filled up with many different projects and challenges( not really craft related ) . One exciting thing I did this week was apply for a design team spot on Simon Says Stamps Blog. I seen the call and just knew i had to at least try. It would be a dream come true. I love the company, the products and the inspiration and talent of all that share and create for them. Really how awesome would it be to be part of a wonderful community like that. So I am praying to the Crafty gods that i make it. :)
Other fun projects I have been working on include Thank you cards, Mother's day cards, Wedding Cards, and finally my pocket letter for my new pen pal. Haha multitasking at its best. LolI am really loving this idea. As for my pen pal and I we started out with a card swap which I finished last week and got out in the mail Monday Yay! I posted a picture of the card on last weeks blog post.. As for the pocket letter,I started it on Monday and managed to finish it up today. Wow what a lot of fun. It really gets your crafty brain going. I will post pictures below of the finished pocket letter. Keep in mind its my first attempt at it so there is a lot of finessing I need to do, but all in all I think it came out well.
It took me a bit to track down these pockets,BUT finally i was able to find some at Walmart. Got to love that they carry almost everything.
For the majority of this pocket letter I used Doddlebug designs Frosty Friends paper pack and Lawn Fawn stamps. I also used some glitter paper from Forever in time, as well as black and white 110lb card stock from Michael s. The lawn fawn stamp sets i used were Love You a Late, Milo's ABC's. Winter Sparrows, Winter Penguin, Making Frosty Friends, and Snowy Days. Other stamps used were Beanie Ian from The Greeting Farm, For the Stars, from Penny Black, Follow the Path, From Zenspirations by Joanne Frink and Impression Obsession. I also used My Favorite things Snow background stamp. As for dies I used My favorite things Coffee die-namic, Spellbinders Scallop squares, Lawn Fawn scallop circles, and stitched hills, stitched snowflakes and tag dies, as well as Paper Smooches star dies
I tried to make each pocket special in its own right, some I made in to scenes and some i stuffed with goodies. (There is more on the back like i said but i don't want to give it away)
Anyways this is what the pocket letter looks like, i will be posting more pictures of all the cards and projects when i am completely done them. So stay tuned.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and ,Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
