Easter Card 1

This card was a last minute custom order and I am really proud of how it turned out.

I started with a 5 ½ x 4 ¼  white card base made of 110lb card stock

I then cut Tropical surf shimmer cardstock to 5 3/8 and 4 1/8  to layer underneath

the yellow doodle bug paper which was cut just a little smaller then the blue.

I then adhered the two layers together

I decided to temporarily adhered that the panel to the card base and took my

wonkey stitched rectangles from My Favorite things  and ran through my die cutting machine.

which left me with the stitched detail on the white card base but cut out a frame from the Yellow and blue card stock

I then took some masking paper from Inkadinka do and cut out another rectangle to create a mask.

I also took my stitched clouds from Lawn Fawn and die cute them out to use as stencils.

I then took broken china Distress ink and inked up my rectangular white space.

After that I took the sun burst stencil from Tim Holtz and used Squeezed lemonade distress ink to create the rays

of light ( not shown in this picture)

For the center of the card I decided to stamp the cross from the Sunny Studio  Easter Wishes stamp set,

I colored the cross in using my Copic markers, I used E29, E28 and E23 for the wood portion and for  the purple cloth

I used V17. V20 and V25,

I then removed the patterned paper and adhered it with two layers of foam tape as I wanted to give it some good dimension

Once I finished the cross I wanted to add some cuteness to the card so I stamped out  the  main image

from the Neat & Tangled Itty Bitty Welcoming  Committee stamp set on to some Bristol paper using my

Simon Says intense black ink, and colored the images using my kuetaki Zig Clean Color Real Brush makrers

I then die cut the image out with the coordinating die.  I  then adheared it to the from of the card.
