Busy Beaver Canada Day Blog Hop
I have to say I had a blast creating this cute card using the Busy Beaver stamp and die set.
I have linked to alot of the products I used at bottom of the blog.
Once I seen this little guy I new I had to create a fun fireworks scene.
I started with bristol card stock and my Distress Oxied inksI used Fossilized Amber, spiced Marmalade, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, and then added Chipped Saphire from the regular distress ink collect.
I started at the bottom of the cardstock with the lilghtes colors and worked my way up to the top, belending the colors into each other as I went.
From there I worked on the landscape of the card, which was the hill side grass. To start I created a panel using my Gansi Tambi water color paints and plastic wrape to recreat the technique that Jennifer McGuire showed in a recent video. I then die cut the green panel using the My Favorite Things Scene building die-namic to make the hill and grass strips.
For the fence I used wood grain paper and colored it with walnut stain distress ink. To create my vison of fireworks in the sky, I used the Lawn Fawn Stithced fire works and then added some metalic shimmer paints on to to help make them stand out. I also splattered the same paints to add a little more intrest to the night sky.
From there I used my misit and stamped the “Heard its your Birthday Eh?”sentiment on to the lawn. I popped up the large hill die cut with foam tape, as well as the blades of grass, I decided to make alittle channel to show case the sentiment and give my little beaver a blace to stand.
I stamped out my beaver using Memento Black ink and colored him using copic markers E29, E59,E57, E34, and E35 Even though this cute stamp set comes with the coordinating die, I decided to fussy cut him out.
I also creatd my own little flag pole using scraps of paper from my stash and distressing it with Black Soot Distress ink..I popped it up with foam tape and added a chipboard flag. Lastly I added my little beaver using more foam tape just to make him stan out more.
