Happy New Year

I will start with this fun Martini birthday card

The products I used to create the set of these cards were the my monthly December card kit by Hero Arts, as well as the Martini Fancy die  and the  Celebration sentiments stencil also  by Hero Arts. I also used distress ink and Zig Kuretake Gansai tambi water color paints Copic marker, Bazzill 40lb vellum as well as green card stock from Bazzill.

I started with die cutting the martini glass and all the accessories pieces from water colour card stock and water colour painted everything. As I was letting the die cut pieces dry I went  on to the back ground where I stenciled  lightly on the white card stock with hickory smoke distress ink  I then die cute the cheers sentiment multiple times so that I could layer them on top of each other for more dimension.

For the inside of the martini glass I die cut some vellum from the martini die set and coloured the back of it with a copic marker  To add a little more grounding I decided to die cut a stitched vellum circle which gave me a wait to adhere the martini glass as well as add a little extra interest. The martini glass itself was popped up using craft foam which I die cut with the same die and layered underneath the martini glass. Before I adhered everything to the card base I added the stir stick and lemon zest to the glass as I wanted them to be tucked behind to look as if it was inside the martin.
