C.A.S.E The creator, A Craft Collab Event

I am super excited to be doing this as there are stamps and things I have been longing to play and create with like the Simon Say Stamp Wake up and Makeup set and this adorable but sadly retired Pampered stamp by  Stamping Bella. I linked to something similar  from Stamping Bella below.

My inspirations or rather creator I C.A.S.E.ed, is Diane from Didedi’s Craft Corner, below are a few of Diane’s super adorable cards in which I found my inspiration. You can find her cards on  Facebook page, as well as her blog and Youtube.

Please be sure to check her out.

On to my cards, I kept it nice and simple which is unusual for me as of late.

I started out by stamping this cutie out several times on to Neenah Solar white 110 lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and my misti stamping tool. This made it so much easier to get a clean image and double stamp to get a darker impression.

I always stamp at least three or four of the image so I can practice and test out my color combinations before I commit to something.

I pulled out my Copic and went to town coloring and playing. Wow, it took me a while to get back in the swing of it which made me realize I had not colored anything with Copic markers in a while.

For the skin color, I used E34, E11, E 00 and E000, for the little girl in pink I used RV25, 32, 30, and 23 and for the cutie in green I colored her in G28, YG 10 and 06.

Once I had the coloring done, it was time to figure out the rest of the card.

I rummaged through my stash to find some pattern paper that could have worked with the little girls but nothing really struck my fancy. So I looked at some of the background panels I had previously created and remembered these funky backgrounds.

For the two backgrounds, I used the Hero Arts funky waves stencil with some homemade glitter texture paste. To create this I mixed some Ranger opaque texture paste with a lot of loose gold glitter from my stash mixed it up and applied with a palette knife. I love doing this as it uses up some of that glitter from my stash I rarely use because it gets everywhere.

On to the assembly of the card, the card itself is a standard A2 5 ½  x 4¼, the glittered backgrounds measure 4x 5¼

I die cut the colored images out using my MFT stitched rectangle dies which measures 4x 2 ¾ and the sentiment measures 2 3/8 x 1 1/8.  I stamped and heat embossed the Hello Gorgeous sentiment from the Simon Says  “Wake up and Makeup” set using Ranger's gold embossing powder.

Finally, I adhered everything together, for the glitter background I popped it up using some kids fun foam it gave just a little bit of dimension, I am liking this method more and more because let's face it 3m tape is so expensive (at least it is in Canada) I want to make it last as long as possible. I did, however, use it for the image and sentiment. I chose to do this as it was a bit thicker than the fun foam which gave a more dimension.

To bring it all together, I pulled in the same colored cardstock and layered it with the same solar white cardstock I previously used. Before I adhered it all together I took the white panel and stamped out the nail polish and lipstick using Versa Clair Nocturn ink, this ink is so crisp and clean I just love it.  But it does take a little bit of time to dry so do give it some time or go over it with a heat tool to speed up the drying.

I hope you enjoyed and found some inspiration

Have a wonderful weekend.

Make sure to pamper your self.
