Cards in Envy "Just Purple" Card Challenge
Good Afternoon all. Hope your all having a great week so far.
I cant believe I am able to post two days in a row. Lol thanks to having some help with my twins, this momma has been able to get some stuff done.
So I am posting a card I created for my best friend as she sent me the most beautiful flowers yesterday because she knew I was having a rough go of it. How sweet is she!. So I wanted to make something very specail for her and well I figured I could also use this for the Card challenge that is taking place over at Cards in Envy http://cardsinenvy.blogspot.ca the theme is Just purple. So I through this fit the bill pretty good. I hope you like the card and are inspired to create.
To create the background and focal point of this card, I used my Ken Oliver Color burst and the Glorious petal stencil from Hero arts. I taped down the stencil and then sprinkled the Violate and Alizarin Crimson all over and then spritzed it with water. I then grabbed some paper towel and dabbed away some of the puddled color. I pulled off the stencil and let it dry. Once it was dry, I die cut it using the the scalloped frame from the WPlus9 Sunshine layers die set. I then stamped out and heat embossed the sentiment which is from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness stamp set. I layered both the main image and sentiment on Bazzill dark purple card stock. I then mounted the main panel on to a card base which I created out of Sour Grape card stock from Bazzill. I adhered the sentiment on with 3M Foam tape. Too finish it all off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Clear droplets as well as Sparkling clear sequins.
