Cards in Envy Challenge- Lets hear it for the boys

I am sorry this post is going to be a little different and a lot shorter  then my others as Its been a crazy few weeks with big orders and when I created this card I completely forgot to do some step by step photos.

All the products used for the cards are linked below

These were created for the challenge and for the client, got to love when you can do double duties with your creations.

Its a very simple card to create, since i had to make over twenty of these I really had to keep it clean and simple.

I started by cutting out all my cardstock down to size. The base is a standard A2 5½ x 4¼  the deep indigo blue card stock is 5¼ x 4, the green shimmer card stock is 5 1/8  x 3 15/16 , the plaid which is from Lawn Fawn is 5 x 3¾ and the white  is 4½ x 3¼

I die cut the golfer from the center of the blue panel as well as the white, I dry embossed the white panel to make it look like the texture of the golf fall.( I actually flipped it over so it was the debossed portion)

I actually inlayed the golfer back into place,  first with the white  die cut and then added the blue golfer on top, this way he wasn't embossed and he had a little extra dimension.

For the sentiment, I combined the kindness set from Honey Bee stamps and the say something set from Clearly Besotted sets to get the perfect size to fit into my die cut circles which I used my nesting circle dies and stitched circles from My Favorite things.  I stamped the sentiment in Jet black ink from Altenew, I just love how intense and crisp it is.  To finish the card off I just popped up the sentiment with foam tape

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my little space,I do apologize that the card is very simple and really not very technique filled but please keep checking in as I will have much more in the coming days, weeks and months.

Head on over to Cards in Envy and share some of your creations for the “Lets hear it for the boys” Theme. I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful projects.

Have a Fantastic Week!
