Good Evening all my crafty friends. I wanted to take a moment and share with you a couple of cards I created for a friend's daughter's dedication (like a baptism). The cards are a bit non traditional in the design and the images used. I decided to go with an non traditional image for these cards because as soon as I got these stamps I was dying to use them.
So once I decided what images I wanted to use, I felt like I need to find paper that would be able to convey the theme of the card properly. This patterned paper is from Stamp Station, I then paired it with some light pink Bazzill card stock which was used to create the card base.
I die cut the patterned and white paper using the Simon Says Frames set, which created the nice scallop frame and center portion. As for the scallop frame, I decided to layer three of them together just to add a little more dimension.
I also die cut all the layers of the clouds using Mama Elephant's creative Landscape trio set. For the layers of clouds I used both white card stock and vellum, both from Michael's.
I stamped out the little bunny, monkey and balloon images from the "Up and Away" stamp set from Mama Elephant. I coloured these little images using Spectrum Noir Essentials and Primary pencil sets. I also used the blending solution and blending pencils to create that softness in the coloring. I adhered all the layers together and added Wink of Stella to the balloons and vellum clouds to add a little bit of interest.
