I started but cutting down some Neehna desert storm and solar white card stock for both the card bases and the background panels. The bases are standard A2 5 1/2  X 4 1/4 and the background panels were 5 1/4 x 4 1/8. I end up layering the embossing panel onto some gold card stock slightly bigger then the panel itself.

I prepared the card panels with an antistatic powder tool and then stamped the leaf  and swirl background with Versa-Mark sticky ink.  I heat set that with Rangers gold embossing powder and fine detailed white powder.

Once the heat embossing cooled I pulled out my distress oxide, in barn door, candied apple, peeled paint, lucky clover and wild honey as well as carved pumpkin and using my blending tool went over the embossing.  I love how these colours showed up on the desert storm card stock.  Heck I just love my distress oxides!

 I die cut the sentiment using the MFT Grateful for You sentiment and matching die set.  I ran it through over ten times so I would be able to layer a few of them together for added dimension.  I added some interest and shine to the sentiment by adding foil.  I accomplished this by using my two way Zig glue pen, allowing it to dry and then bring the foil to the sentiment to rub it on.

I die cut numerous leaves out of desert storm card stock using the My Favorite things stitched leaves dies.  Once I cut them all out I went in with more distress oxides to colour the leaves.  I did a few different versions to get to the colour combinations I liked.  Once I had what I liked I spritzed with water and then with gold perfect Perl mist.

I used some Press-n-Seal to help me adhere the leaves into place.  I created a subtle background to layer them onto using some antique linen and a Tim Holtz stencil.

I layered the panel on to some more coordinating glitter card stock that was slightly bigger, just to frame it.

This was a fun card to create and play with the different colour an layout combinations.
