Valentines Cards part 2
Good Afternoon Crafty friends,
So sorry for the delay in post, there has been a ton going on, some good and some not so good, both of which have taken up more time then I was expecting.
Any how here is my second half of my Valentine cards that I created especially for Rosemarie's Treasures. I decided I would do some traditional and non traditional sets.
I am so very happy with how all of them turned out.
This was my most time intensive card, As I ended up making 10 of them at one time. I did not buy the dies so I fussed cut all the gnomes out, as well as the snail and the mushroom for every card... I embossed the white panel of the card with the We R Memory Keepers Heart Next level embossing folder. I stamped all the images form the You Gnome Me stamp set From My Favorite things, on water color paper and colored them in with the Zig Clean Color real brush markers... I die cute the circles from the American craft nesting circles die set. The colored paper was from Bazzill. I die cut the banner from Simon Say Stamps folder banner die. and the grass from Lawn Fawns Grassy Border die. I added Wink of Stella and glossy accents to the snail, mushroom to add just a little bit more dimension. All the dies I used were bought from Simon Says Stamps, www.simonsaysstamp.com The Gnome me stamp set was purchased from the Scrapbook Wear House and paper was purchased from my local scrap booking stores Clipper Street Scrapbook Company and Precious Memories
Inky and fun, is what I call these cards because I got to just be care free and a little more messy. For these cards I used the @Winnie&Walter My precious Stampset, and @ TimHoltz distress ink by Ranger, to create this fun water splotchy design. I used my Mist by My Sweet Petunia, too to stamp it all on water color paper in Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and then embossed it using Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powered. Then I pulled out all Candied Apple, Festive berries , Abandoned Coral and Violet and smooshed it all on my craft mat, sprayed alot of water and squished my paper into it, drying in between and repeating as necessary. A technique that I learned from watching Kristina Werner and many others. I then mounted it on red cards stock that i Die cut from My Favorite things Stack able rectangle dienamics and then on to my card base. Stamps purchased from Simon Say Stamps, www.simonsaysstamp.com Distress Ink colors purchased at local scrapbook store Clipper Street Scrapbook company
I kept this set of cards nice and simple. I used gold foiled roses paper that came in a pad from Craft smith, and layered some velum over top. I die cut scalloped hearts out from pink and white glitter paper and die cut the I love you sentiment using the Simon Says Stamp I love you die from their latest release. I cut die cut four of each per card and layered it together so it would add dimension and for finishing touch i covered it in clear Wink of Stella
These cards were created using paper and stamps from some last years February Card kit from SimonSaysStamps, as well as the Love die from Lawn Fawn and the Happy Die from Mama Elephant For the stamped sentiments I used the Happy Valentine's Day form the card kits coordinating stamp set and the You from Winnie & Walter My precious set. The hearts were cut out using Memory box Stitched hearts . The card kit and My precious stamp set were purchased from Simon Says Stamps, www.simonsaysstamp.com The love die , and stitched hearts were purchased locally, as well as the glitter paper.
I hope you enjoyed the cards and got some inspiration from them. I love making then and sharing with the world. If you are local you can find these cards at Rosemarie's Treasures in Coquiltam. I would love to hear feed back from you.
