Background Bliss

So that is what I did, I started  off by creating some cards that had been in the back of my mind for a while, they are a version of my previous mermaid cards but with a fun bright backgrounds and then turned into shaker cards. Once those were finished I decided to pull out some of my water colors and distress oxides and just have fun playing and see what would come.

Love how these mermaid shaker cards turned out.

These backgrounds were created with the distress oxied and some stencils. I was watching a youtube video from Jennifer McGuire where she was stamping and stenciling with the oxides, this got me inspired to try. So the top photo is of the stenciling and the bottom is of the stamping portion. Loved how each of them turned out.

Two of the backgrounds were stamped in water and the other two in black soot distress oxide ink.

Here I pulled out my Gansi TambI water colors and a paint brush and went to town. I was totally inspired by a video I seen by Amy Rysavy where she made galaxy cards with her Gansi Tambi water colors.

This is the second go around with the water colors, just trying out differnt combinations,

This is the finished galaxy background, all products I have used are linked below.

I have yet to finish creating cards with these backgrounds but will hopefully get a chance soon. As I was working on these cards I ended up with a few more orders, so stay tuned for the finished cards to come soon,

Thanks for taking time to check out my little blog. Would love to hear from you.

Have a wonderful Week a head.

Nancy
